Overview
I teach many of the core courses in the undergraduate sociology curriculum. My specialty courses and research focus on the sociological aspects of information technology including: the sociological history of computerization, the sociological meanings of the home computer, computerization innovation in organizational settings, computerization and the individual (gender, race, class, age, roleplay), and the sociological analysis of high tech clusters in comparative perspective.
