Jocelyn Vega-Robledo

Overview

Jocelyn is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Sociology. Her research interests include education, gender, and immigration. Her current work explores how gendered, racial, and institutional inequities shape academic outcomes in community colleges, focusing on how Latina students describe and navigate their transfer aspirations and educational trajectories.

Jocelyn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Chicano/a-Latino/a Studies from Pitzer College. She is a Graduate School Dean’s Scholar, a Fulbright U.S. Scholar to Portugal (2023-2024), and a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow (MMUF).
