Overview
Edoardo is a PhD student in the Department of Sociology, where his research focuses on the intersection of economic sociology, finance, and climate change. His work critically examines the role of financial companies and markets in mediating and exacerbating climate-related risks. Currently, he is investigating the role of insurance companies in climate adaptation and mitigation from two perspectives. The first project analyzes how insurers’ investment strategies are evolving in response to growing awareness of climate change and its escalating impacts on both the industry and its investment portfolios. The second project examines the California home insurance crisis, focusing on the unequal impacts of wildfire-driven insurance cancellations on households.
