Overview
Chae (Chae Eun) is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Sociology. Her research interests lie in reproductive health, fertility, and gender inequality, with a particular focus on significant conjunctures and patterns in the life course that exacerbate inequality. Her current work explores the change in access to abortion clinics following the Dobbs decision and its disproportionate imact on reprductive autonomy. Her future work aims to look at how fertility intentions and decisions change over the life course.
Chae holds a Bachelor's degree in International Studies and a Mater's degree in Sociology from Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea.
