Ben Cornwell and team of Chicago colleagues win two major grants to study social connectedness and health

Cornell Sociology Associate Professor Ben Cornwell is a co-investigator on a team that recently won 2 multi-million dollar grants to study social connectedness and health.

Cornwell is part of The National Social Life Health and Aging Project (NSHAP) which is a longitudinal study of older adults focused on how health and social connectedness are linked in later life.

The first wave of the project began in 2005/6 and the recent grants will support extending this work.
